UFC fighter Kevin Holland stops active shooter at Houston restaurant

Star UFC fighter Kevin Holland helped restrain an active shooter and stop a shooting at a Houston restaurant late on Monday night, according to reports.

The incident began around 11:30 on Monday evening at Ra Sushi in Houston. A lone gunman took out a gun and fired a single shot into the air inside the restaurant, where about 40-50 people were dining and drinking at the time.

When police arrived on scene the suspect was already restrained and had been disarmed by three civilians who were customers at the restaurant. Witnesses said the three men rushed the gunman and saved lives.

One of the men was Kevin Holland, a popular Ultimate Fighting Championship fighter, who was at the restaurant with another of the three men, Patrick Robinson.

Holland alluded to the story on Twitter, saying “About last night tho…I’m ok” along with a thumbs up emoji.
